What is Delta-9 Live Rosin?
Delta-9 rosin is a form of cannabis (hemp) concentrate made with a solventless extraction method. Essentially, it’s a yellowish or even golden sap obtained by applying enormous amounts of pressure to flower, hash, or bubble hash. Respectively, the main types of rosin include flower rosin and hash rosin. However, rosin squeezed from bubble hash made with fresh, uncured hemp plants is called “live rosin.”
How Strong is Delta-9 Live Rosin?
The answer to this question greatly depends on the source of the live rosin and what one considers to be “strong.” The live rosin THC percentage is much higher when made from marijuana. However, live rosin from a hemp plant, which can legally contain up to 0.3% of Delta-9 THC on a dry weight basis, will not have such a high concentration. But that’s not where the strength lies in hemp-derived live rosin.
The live rosin manufacturing process ensures the preservation of the live terpene profile of the plant. Terpenes are important because they can have complementary effects when paired with Delta-9 THC from hemp. There’s still some debate whether Cannabis sativa and Cannabis indica are two separate species or one. But what is known is that they both have distinct terpene profiles. Cannabis enthusiasts prefer sativa for the daytime, while indica is viewed more as ideal for relaxing at night. However, one should note that cannabinoids, terpenes, and combinations affect everyone differently.
